Hiatt Printing originated as a franchise of "Postal Instant Press" when Dave and Jane Hiatt assumed ownership of an existing franchise on April 1, 1974 at 1118 (now 1716) North Wheeling in Muncie. Realizing $1,600 in sales in a month in those first years was exciting. In 1985, a satellite store was added at 506 N. McKinley in the Ball State Village, targeting the college community. In October 1992, Dave and Jane's twenty year franchise contract ended and after much encouragement from their employees, the decision was made to operate independently. And Hiatt Printing was born.
Since 1974, Hiatt Printing has been evolving from a quick printer to a full-service, complete business printing operation. In 1988 our 300 sq. ft. facility was increased to 3,000 sq. ft. and we are now busting at those seams. Our sales have grown from $20,000 a year in the beginning years to over $1 million a year in sales. In 1991 Jane Hiatt retired and in 1995 Dave Hiatt retired. Their son, Chris, has since taken over the daily operation of Hiatt Printing.
We can handle all of your printing needs and assist you in all aspects of a quality printed piece - concept, design, production and finishing. Whether your job is one color or many, Hiatt Printing is the printer who should be on your team. Because at Hiatt Printing, business printing is our business!
